While the New World release may have been delayed by a month and won't release until September 28, details of the new additions to the game are starting to surface online thanks to the Let's Play series.

The Rocket Beans YouTube channel appears to have had a chance to spend some time in the world of Aeternum even though the game wasn't available to players until the end of the open beta week of September 9, and fans indicated there were three new weapons in the footage.

The new weapons that are supposed to come to the game are a one-handed weapon class called Daggers, a new long-range weapon Blunderbuss, and a magical weapon, the Void Gauntlet.

These in-game screenshots seem to confirm reports from data experts throughout the closed beta of New World that these will actually join the game at some point. But with its own Bluunderbuss code not yet available, this could be some time away.

The game description for Daggers says they are dual-use, one-handed weapons to be used in short-range melee combat and short-range throwing. According to the footage, the Blunderbuss is a long-range weapon with high-damage cartridges “ideal for keeping targets at a distance and long-range combat with the great payoff for an accurate target.” However, this can only be a copy of the description of the musket. Unfortunately, the Void Gauntlet isn't tagged at any point in the footage, so we haven't had a chance to see a description of it.

During Gamescom's presentation of the new world, a developer demonstrated a concept art for a new "supernatural weapon" that will come to the game shortly after its release, which is likely to be the Void Gauntlet.

It's not clear what build of Rocket Beans has been given access to for their game series, and whether that's what will be made available to players during the upcoming Open Beta Weekend. It is also not clear when these weapons will be introduced into the game.

New World is set to enter its open beta for the weekend of September 9th before its September 28th release date. There's a chance that during that weekend, we might see some of these new guns in action. MMOtank always provides more news about New World games!
